Resources for the Whole Family
Welcome to the Harris County Team!
Welcome to Harris County! We are happy you joined the team. As a County employee you have a robust benefits package that includes medical, dental and vision insurance as well as life and long-term disability insurance. And that is just the beginning. Your financial benefits include automatic enrollment in our pension with the Texas County and District Retirement System (TCDRS) plus, you can save more by setting up a deferred compensation plan with one of our contracted vendors. AND, you have access to wellness programming and services available throughout the year.
Use these resources to understand your benefits and start the enrollment process. If you do nothing – meaning you do not select a medical plan, add dependents or purchase optional benefits - you will be defaulted to self-only coverage on the Base Medical Plan. Per Harris County policy, all full-time, regular position employees are required to enroll in our group health and related benefits. Information on voluntarily waiving your benefits can be found on the Resources page.
