Free Lactation Classes
Breastfeeding is an amazing opportunity for moms and babies to bond, and there are health benefits for both. But like anything new, breastfeeding takes some how-to knowledge and a little practice.
Join this virtual breastfeeding class hosted by Kelsey-Seybold that’s designed to make you more comfortable with breastfeeding.
Nutrition and Milk Storage
Refrigerators are available for storing breast milk after using a lactation room. To help ensure that breast milk maintains its nutrients and is safe for use, follow these tips and guidelines.
Use waterproof labels and ink to label each container with the date you expressed the breast milk.
Breast milk can be stored in the following ways:
- Room temperature: Up to four hours
- Refrigerator: Up to four days
- Freezer: Up to six months
Thawed breast milk can only be used for up to 24 hours and should not be refrozen.
