Wellness Series: Stress Happens

Part 1: Creating a Healthy Work and Home Relationship “Everyone has a work life and home life. But what happens when they get difficult to manage or one starts to impact the other? This brief training will provide participants with some tools to maintain a healthy relationship between the two. Participants will have the chance to:

• Examine their different roles

• Identify the level of work-life balance they have

• Make a plan to improve life balance”

Part 2: Breathe Your Way to a Better Life Stress is everywhere and not all of us have the time, money or energy for an extended vacation. In this training, look at the little things we can do each day to reduce stress and breathe our way to a better life. This course reviews how stress impacts your breathing, statistics on the stress and health connection, and deep breathing and relaxation techniques to boost your health.

Part 3: Stress Management Join this course to learn how to manage stress in daily life. You will learn to define stress and the stress response, improve the ability to recognize personal stress symptoms, understand how thoughts and actions contribute to the stress response, and manage stress more effectively through improved evaluation and self-care. This training includes a brief stress reliever exercise.
